Within the Caudwell Group who operate Phones 4u, there are two large divisions Caudwell Communications and their Mobile Phone Repair Company (MPRC). In August 2006 these two divisions integrated into one main office in Cheshire, planning permission for more car parking spaces was not awarded.

At the new main site it was identified that more parking spaces had to be made available. The car park management costs were also set to increase by an extra £60,000.

To help tackle this Caudwell Communications set up a bike pooling and a Liftshare system.

During the rapid set up phase Caudwell relayed that they were looking to have 3% of their workforce registered as active members within the first year.

Within just three weeks, over 3% of staff have registered, combined with other initiatives over £40,000 has been saved.

The system is saving over 129,000 miles, 24 tonnes of CO², collectively members are saving themselves over £12,000
